To add music to a photo slideshow in Dorr, select 2–20 photos, choose a theme, and pick a track from the built-in music collection. Preview the result, set the duration and aspect ratio, then save it. Select No Music for a silent version. Personal audio files cannot currently be imported.
Start with a small, coherent photo set
A soundtrack works best when the photos already feel connected. Pick one trip, one afternoon or one celebration. Start with six to twelve pictures if you are still deciding on the story; Dorr supports between two and twenty photos per video.
Arrange the images before comparing tracks. Keep the photo order unchanged as you try different music, so you can hear what the soundtrack changes rather than judging two different sequences at once.
Add built-in music, step by step
- Open Dorr’s photo-to-video flow and choose your photos.
- Arrange their order. Open individual photos if you want to adjust their color, add an effect or include text.
- Preview a theme with no music first. Notice whether the movement feels calm or energetic.
- Open the music choices and listen to a built-in track with the same photo sequence. Try another if the mood does not fit.
- Adjust the overall video duration and choose 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9.
- Play the beginning and ending again, then export your video.
Music is optional. A quiet sequence can be the right choice when you want people to concentrate on the pictures, or plan to choose audio separately when sharing the finished video.
Match the mood before the tempo
A busy track can overwhelm a gentle set of family photos. A slower track can give travel landscapes more room to breathe. These are creative choices, so compare a couple of options using your own images. Do not assume every transition will automatically land on a musical beat.
If the sequence feels rushed, review both the number of pictures and the total duration. Removing two near-duplicates often makes the story easier to follow. Dorr’s duration control adjusts the overall video; this is not a guide to individual clip timing.
Can I use my own song, Apple Music or Spotify?
Dorr currently supports its built-in tracks and a No Music option. It does not import personal audio files or tracks from Apple Music or Spotify. Choose an included track for the in-app workflow described here.
Check the export before sharing
Standard video export is available for free at 720p; some saves may involve an ad. Dorr Pro adds 1080p HD export. The shape you choose and the export quality are separate settings: a vertical video is not automatically HD.
